Collin county infrastructure, government, business and living

Mr. Yoon Kim, Collin County Administractor will be guest speaker at our club meeting. Mr. Kim will share updates about county infrastructure projects, the county animal control shelter, county health department, new voting rules, the 2025 county budget, including the current and proposed tax rate. Yoon Kim is the current County Administrator for Collin County, Texas. Prior to becoming the County Administrator, Yoon was the Director of the Collin County Community Supervision and Corrections Department and District Clerk of Collin County. Yoon received his Bachelor of Arts in English and minor in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin in 2001. He received his law degree from The University of Texas School of Law in 2004. During the summer of 2002, Yoon was a judicial intern for the Honorable Kenneth M. Hoyt, United States District Judge for the Southern District of Texas. Yoon is currently a licensed attorney—and a former prosecutor—with proficiency in criminal and civil trials, including prosecution, criminal defense, family law, and investigation. Yoon has a passion for administration and public service. Yoon has served on several state committees: the Judicial Advisory Council, the Probation Advisory Committee (PAC), chair of the TPA Legislative Committee, leadership advisory council for Correctional Management Institute of Texas (CMIT), and faculty for CMIT's New Chief's Development Program. Yoon is married to his college sweetheart, Kristin, and is the father of three rambunctious boys, ages 11, 14, and 15. |
