I was born and raised in a small town in central Iowa.  Even though I never lived on a farm, farmers, corn, pigs and agriculture were always the “talk of the town”.

I married at 19 and attended Iowa State University, studying Advertising and Marketing.  Those years were a whirlwind and interrupted joyfully by babies, 4 of them, 3 boys and 1 girl, by the time I was 27.  We moved to Texas with Lennox Industries, and eventually, unfortunately, divorced.

I began my career in Advertising and worked for approximately 20 years as an account executive for several agencies all around Dallas.  Being a soccer and football Mom was always my priority, so nights and weekends were filled with practice, games and sitting on bleachers.

The last two decades have been nothing but a blessing - I gained 13 grandchildren!  While all that was going on, I worked my way to VP Technology Implementation at Bank of America.    At BAC I ran several virtual teams around the world, delivering call center support infrastructure.  I retired from there three years ago.  About that same time, I was introduced to Collin County Rotary by Kristy Card and happily joined!

Since then, I’ve enjoyed working at the Flag Shed, Shiloh Place, Frisco Food Bank, Hugs Café Pie Drive, Thrift stores, to name a few, but most of all, my volunteering at Meals on Wheels!  I’ve had a permanent Thursday route for over three years, delivering meals to our senior citizens in need right here at home.
