Proposed New Member. AJ Fidelman (proposed by Lenda Fidelman) has submitted an application for membership. AJ's name will be posted for two weeks. If any current member has questions or concerns, please inform any member of the leadership team.
New Member Induction. Three new members will be inducted at the First Thursday meeting on August 5 at 5:30 PM at the Caddo Offices Reimagined Conference Room. They are Terie Brown, AJ Fidelman and Chris Zeigler. Terie is a former employee of Bank America in technology and a community volunteer. AJ is the Sales and Operations Manager for PACCAR in McKinney, and the spouse of Lenda Fidelman. Chris is the owner-agent for Allstate Insurance in Frisco, and the spouse of Connie Zeigler.
President Lenda Speaks. The Program for August 5 will be President Lenda Fidelman who will present her goals for 2021-22 and the Rotary International Theme for 2021, “Serve to Change Lives.“
Paul Harris Fellow Pin. Helen Gibson-Nicholas, The Rotary Foundation Chair, will present a Paul Harris Fellow pin with 4 stones to a member who has made multiple contributions to the Rotary Foundation. Helen will explain that the optional donation of $37.50 to the Rotary Foundation is a charitable tax-deductible donation for humanitarian needs.
July Service Project. From Service Projects Chair Jeff: Our next donation campaign is to help support the great efforts of Lance Olinski and the team at Streetside Showers, (https://streetsideshowers.com/). We have already made a monetary pledge of $500; however, we want to go a step further and match that pledge amount with $500+ in value of the top items that are currently in need. In doing so, and to make it as seamless and simple as possible to participate, as well as share, we have created an Amazon Wish Listwhere the items can be ordered and delivered from Amazon directly to us for collection, then donation. Our campaign to help support the efforts of Streetside Showers will run until Thursday, August 5th.
