Don't miss our First Thursday program on November 4. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Shelton (Shelly) Williams who is Executive Director for the Osgood Center for International Studies in Washington DC. Dr. Williams is an active Rotarian who helps to embody the Rotary goal of building peace in communities and through that will produce change that can have a global effect. The Osgood Center offers short-term foreign policy programs and experiential learning to graduate, college, and high school students from around the globe. Dr. Williams presentation will be via Zoom. Vote on Our Club Bylaws
You have been advised to review and make recommendations to the draft of the club bylaws. Your comments have been heard and the final draft is now posted on our website under About Us and Private Documents. This final version will voted on and approved at our November 4 meeting. Your action will set the direction for our club's operations for the future. This is important.
Club Member Data on the CR App
The CR app for your phone is a great help in looking up a member's email address, phone number or physical address. It is free and available for iPhone and Android use. Look for the link on this newsletter or on our website to give you an easy click to download the app. In using the app, once you have entered your regular website logon and password, click on the menu icon on the upper left of the CR screen to see what info is available.
Veterans Day Flag-Lease Service
November is the last month for flag-lease this calendar year. This service is one way that we receive our funds for community and international service. It's also your opportunity to get attendance credit for a missed club meeting. Your help loading flags on November 9 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM (or some portion based on your availability), and unloading flags on November 16 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM will be appreciated. The flag shed is located at CubeSmart across from Cinemark Movies 14 on Central Expressway. If you need a gate code, it is *7102244#.
