The District Governor is Coming! The official visit of District Governor, Max S. Duplant, is this Thursday, August 19. We will meet at Caddo Offices Reimagined. Leadership Team members will meet with Governor Max at 5:00 PM. Club meeting will be held at 5:30 PM as usual. Recall that Past President Benita said that only two excuses for your absence will be accepted; death or dilation. True. Here is Governor Max' bio:

Max S. Duplant is a retired Assistant City Manager and Chief Financial Officer for the City of Irving. She also has served as CFO for the Cities of Beaumont and Groves. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Lamar University in Beaumont. Max is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and was honored as the Outstanding CPA in Government-local level by the AICPA for 2007. She has held executive board positions with the Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA), including Treasurer and Vice-President. In addition, she has held various positions, including President for the Southeast Texas Chapter of CPAs and is currently Treasurer-elect of the Dallas CPA Society. The Dallas Business Journal has recognized Max as a finalist for its CFO of the year award. She is a Past President of the Rotary Clubs of Irving-Las Colinas and Groves. In addition, she has served as Public Image Chair and as an Assistant Governor of District 5810.  Max’s record of volunteer and community service is very extensive, having served on boards of a Credit Union, American Heart Association, Diocese and Church Finance Committees, Catholic Charities, United Way, and many others. She has served as Treasurer of the Irving Schools Foundation and President of the Advisory Committee for Church of the Incarnation.  Max also enjoys spending time with her six grandchildren, traveling and competitive dancing.
